It's a Miller family tradition to have a party to celebrate the first snowfall of the year. It can't be just a dusting of snow, there has to be some accumulation. This year's first snow came back on November 17th but we decided to wait until the college girls were home to celebrate with us.
We roast hot dogs in the fireplace and have an indoor picnic in the family room.
You wouldn't want to waste a fire by not making s'mores, would you?

We end the evening by listening to the Polar Express and ringing our jingle bells when we hear "The first...gift...of Christmas!" I LOVE family traditions!
