Birthday Seek and Find

There was something really special that Chase wanted for his birthday this year. Rather than wrap the very easily recognizable box, Chris decided to make Chase work a little bit to find his gift. Chase was given a card that read, "It may be Dad's baby, but hidden in the back, is a surprise for your birthday, inside of a sack."
When Chase figured out that Dad's baby was the convertible, he found the next clue. "Well, what do you know? It was just a hint. Where will the next clue be? In the catcher of lint." Chase thought at first that it must be the dryer, but nothing was there. What else could it be?
Of course, the vacuum! The next clue read, "You might need to cool off. You must change your suit, 'cause eleven feet under, you might find the loot." Change my suit?? Eleven feet under??
Could it be the pool? What is that strange shape in the deep end? Better find out. Chase decided to forgo the swimsuit and retrieve the next clue with the net. It was a bottle of rocks with a message inside: "It's nice to be clean, but you'd better get dry, 'cause under the bed, there's something you'll spy." That's an easy one...Chase just had to check under five beds!
"Now you have pellets, so focus you must, in a room that is heavy, find what you trust." A room that is heavy? Hmmm.
The weight room...that makes sense!! And now for the final clue: "Look at the ring, but don't let it burn, for coals do abound, near the treasure you yearn." Another easy clue...the fire ring!
And the treasure is found!!! Chase really, really, REALLY wanted this Beemer pellet gun for his birthday. He and Chris had been looking at them and Chase thought for sure his dad would by it for him. We made him wait until after his football game to do the treasure hunt just to make him sweat a little.
Chase kindly let his dad have the first shot.
No one is happier than a boy who gets exactly what he wants for his birthday!
